Dakota - Week 38 - A Laugh a Day

Momma posted these video clips to bring a little bit of home with her to India during her up coming trip.  We hope they may you smile too!

If you are wondering about the mayhem in this picture...  Daddy took a trip to New York to attend a writer's conference.  Momma asked Nanny and Aunt Heather to come help her out while Daddy was gone.  Given that Daddy is a Super Daddy, two Nannies/Grandmas seemed like the right amount.  We had great fun playing games with Aunt Heather and Nanny.  Momma suggested Twister and I thought that was a GREAT idea.  Even Dakota played!
Also this week, Momma grabbed a number of "fall fun" pictures.  We hope you enjoy!

Dakota - Week 37 - Fall Fun!

Not a big story for this week - Momma and Daddy are working with Dakota to get her to stand up by herself for more than a few seconds.  Momma is hoping for a picture of the amazing feat soon.  But in the mean time enjoy these pictures of us enjoying the beautiful fall weather!

Of special note:  This picture is not one Momma or I took.  It is in fact the first picture that Sierra has taken that is in focus.  My sister has a great eye!  We hope you enjoy it!

Dakota - Week 36 - Trick or Treat!

What an adventure this week turned out to be!  Momma and Daddy started the week out by reminding Sierra, Dakota and I that Halloween was coming this weekend.  But it seemed that Mother Nature decided to provide us an early Trick!  If you peek out the window behind Daddy you will see why we decided to do our pumpkin carving inside this year.
But we didn't let snow stop us from enjoying our pumpkin carving activities.

I'm sure you all won't be surprised to know that it was Dakota who seemed to enjoy it the most... Why did she enjoy it you ask?  Because pumpkin is yummy of course!
So we thought the snow was the only Trick that Mother Nature was going to play on us... but that was not the case.  She also decided to knock enough trees and tree limbs down to cause us to lose our electricity.  So break out the campfire and candles!

Dakota was drawn to the warmth of the fire like a moth to a flame.  Fortunately Daddy and I held her back!
Fortunately the power was only off for a night, and we were able to spend Sunday with Gigi and PopPop at their house with their electricity to celebrate my birthday.
Then came Halloween!  Thanks to the electric company and the great parks and recreation guys in Pennington, our Halloween wasn't postponed.  After a month of double checking the catalog I settled on a Superman costume.
Dakota had a lot of choices....  We helped her pick!
The bunny won the popular vote!
Sierra loved her batgirl costume!  An hour after Momma started we were all dressed and ready for the big event!  We went around our neighborhood.  For the first time ever, I knocked on the doors, said Trick or Treat and Thank You.  Momma and Daddy were so proud of me.  Sierra did a great job with her Trick or Treats and Thank You's too.
Dakota of course was given an exception...
But that didn't' stop her from getting into the spirit of the night!
After all that trick or treating we spend some time checking out Daddy's handiwork.  He really did a great job with our designs!
Don't you think!
Then it was time for the little ones to head to bed.
Sierra blew out her pumpkin candle
with a little help from Superman!
Then we dumped our candy into the candy drawer and slept with visions of lollipops dancing in our heads!

Dakota - Week 35 - Pictures Momma Liked

So it seems Momma had more pictures from my birthday week that she wanted to share with everyone.  So she asked me to add an extra post.  We hope everyone likes them!

Dakota - Week 35 - Happy Birthday to Me!

This week was a VERY SPECIAL week.  I turned 4 years old!  It seems like just yesterday that I was Dakota's size - or so Momma tells me.  But I am a BIG boy now.  So big that thanks to Nanny and Bobby we were able to upgrade our outside play-set.  We've joined the big league now.  We have had SO MUCH FUN on it!  Thank you Nanny and Bobby!

In addition to the surprise of the swing set Momma and Daddy hosted a family birthday party for me.  It was great fun.  Can you guess the theme?

Our house was full of family who had come to help me celebrate.  I of course selected Vito's pizza for my birthday mean - it is my favorite your know!
Then it was time for cake - I gave it my finger licking good seal of approval.  Sierra did too!

Then it was time for presents - I did a great job opening them all by myself!

But that didn't stop the girls from wanting to help!

It was a Scooby-Dooby-Do good time!
