Nanny & Grampy Come to Town - Wk 10

Our week started normally enough.  But by the time Momma and I made it back from gymnastics and Nanny and Grampy arrived on Saturday the our little corner of the world was dark!  Thanks to winds that gusted up to 50 miles an hour, we experienced our first power outage in a house that really needs the electricity.  Thanks to the 3 sump pumps and the back up generator the basement (my playland) only took on 1.5 inches of water.  Our neighbors across the street took on 6.  But it wasn't all about the rain.  Nanny and Grampy did a great job of helping Momma and Daddy to entertain me while all the stuff in the basement was moved to "higher ground" and we found new things to do during the 3 days we were without power.  We had the best tickle-fest ever...
This week we also took Sierra for her two month check up.  She is now 23.5 inches long and 12 pounds 15 ounces.  That's right.  My baby sister has put on another 3 pounds and grew another inch.  Our doctor said he was no longer concerned about her putting on enough weight.  I guess almost doubling your birth weight in two months is pretty good.  I must say, Sierra wears it well.  Aren't her cheeks the cutest?
Not only did Sierra do well at her doctor's visit, she also achieved a new milestone.  She has found her fists, and decided that they are much better to suck on than any pacifier that Momma or Daddy can provide.
But Tazz won the contest for most precious moment.  Mommas says she is our original princess.  What do you think?  Seems her dog bed wasn't comfie enough on its own.
But even with all of this weeks excitement the best part was sharing time with the ones we love.  Here's hoping the ones you love are in kissing distance.
Hugs and kisses to everyone!
