Dakota - Week 34 - Do you believe?

Would you believe we saw a snake on the way to the park this weekend?
Would you believe that Momma put Dakota up on the old tree stump for a Fall picture?
Would you believe that Momma set Dakota free in the sandbox to play?
Would you believe that Dakota seems to love trucks as much as Sierra and I do?
Would you believe that Dakota figured out that she can crawl out of the sandbox?
Would you believe that she immediately began exploring the rest of the playground?
Would you believe she even tried to climb the play structure...
while Sierra slides down the slide?
Would you believe I sat and ASKED Momma to take this picture?
Would you believe that I am the best swing pusher for my baby sister?
Would you believe I can climb to the top without any help?
Would you believe I can jump so far I knocked into Momma just after she took this picture?
Can you believe how much Sierra loves to swing?
Would you believe that Dakota loves train rides as much as Sierra and I do?
Would you believe that at just 1 week shy of 8 months old Dakota can sit up by herself at a Vito's...
 and eat pizza crust?
Would you believe that she loves to swing...
just like her big sister loves to swing (did I mention that already?)?
Do you think she might like to climb like Sierra does too?

Would you believe that Momma came within an inch of this butterfly before snapping the picture?
Would you believe that Dakota loves to stand everywhere and anywhere she gets the chance?
Can you believe how cute we are together?
Would you believe that taking this shadow picture was completely my own idea?  (This one is for you Bobby!)
Do you believe?

Dakota - Week 34 - Nanny "Officially" Retires

So this weekend was a busy, busy adventure.  First we started with Mommy taking off from work on Friday so we could attend Nanny's retirement award ceremony in Virginia.  I can't say where it was - but maybe you can guess from the badges that the SPO gave to Sierra, Dakota and I...
After the retirement ceremony we fought the Capital Beltway traffic and made it successfully to the Baltimore Inner Harbor where we visited the National Aquarium.  Now you might expect a lot of pictures from Momma, since it was such a cool place.  But Momma thought we left the camera at home and didn't realize it was in the diaper bag we carried through the ENTIRE aquarium.  Silly Momma.

But she made up for it in the morning with Nanny, Great Gramma, and Grampy came over to visit on their way up to Cape Cod.  This was Great Gramma's first introduction to Dakota.  They hit it off.
I was excited to see her too!
Momma managed to capture this picture of all of us kids with Great Gramma and Nanny!
Then we got down to the serious business of celebrating Nanny and Great Gramma's October birthdays.  I was the mailman and delivered all the cards and the roses to the birthday girls.  Then it was time for cake!
Don't worry - Dakota had Cheerios - as she hasn't turned 1 yet!
Before we knew it, it was time for them to get going.  So we "helped" them out the door and on their way home to Cape Cod.  That is if you call hanging onto their legs so they can't leave helping!

Dakota - Week 33 - Cheerios

Well, better late than never!

Dakota - Week 32 - First Real Solids!

This weekend was one heck of an event - Momma and Daddy made it even more of one by offering Dakota her first real solid food that required chewing.  Now Sierra and I started with Cheerios - but Dakota when for the big stuff - Breadsticks!  She loved it and did a great job chewing it up before swallowing!
And she finally gave Momma the picture she has been trying for since Labor Day weekend when Dakota's first teeth came in.  Can you see those pearly whites in the picture?
