Six Months!

If you were paying attention last week, then you know I hit a big milestone this week. I turned six months old on Thursday! I celebrated by giving up my pacifier for an entire 36+ hour period. Momma and Dad were so proud. But then for some reason they let the doctor stick a bunch of needles in me on Friday. I didn't think it was a very fair trade, so I've been asking for my pacifier back until we can work out a new (better) deal. By the way - I registered in at 18.2 pounds and 27 inches.

Outside of my big birthday, I had a ton of fun playing this past weekend. I started things off by playing with my big Sis Tazz. Do you think I'm copying her, or is she copying me? Only we know for sure :-)
The weather in the city was absolutely beautiful again this weekend, so we got to spend a good bit of time outside. We started off with a play session in the newly remodeled back yard. Momma put down a bunch of wood chips, and some fresh new grass. I liked it so much I just had to go sit in it for awhile...
We also got some fun time in Golden Gate Park so Tazz could get some good ball runs in. While dad threw the ball, I entertained momma by letting her take some photos (she went a bit overboard with over 125 - but I didn't mind)
Finally, when it was all said and done, I was one tired little guy. Since it was still so nice outside, I decided to crash on the back deck for a little while
I hope you're all doing well - and see you soon!

Nearly Six Months Old!

Holy cow. Can you believe I'm almost six months old? Momma and Dad are taking me to the doctors office this Friday for my six month check up. We'll get to officially see how big I've grown. If you don't believe I'm that old, just check out some of the stuff I can do now..

I started showing a lot of interest in Momma when she was drinking from her cup - so she started letting me have a little sip every now and then. I'm going to have to get me some of these things - its muc more fun then drinking from a bottle!
I'm also continuing to work on my motor skills. These probably aren't the ones you are thinking of, but I'm trying on my 'bad boy' image to see how I like it. Dawn was kind enough to let me test out her wheels for a few minutes

Don't worry though, I'm also sure to show my softer side. Momma managed to capture this glamour shot the other night after bath time To wrap up the week, I made sure that no one forgets that I am still just a little guy. Dad was looking a little tired tonight, so I took over my feeding for him. I think I did quite well, don't you? I'm pretty sure it did the trick for dad, as he was laughing at me all through dinner. Tazz was pretty happy to be on the clean up crew too.
Check back next week to see what the doc had to say!

Week 24

This was quite the tiring week. First Dad had me start a workout program so I can continue to grow big and strong. How do you like my exercise ball? I think it's quite tasty! Momma and Dad continued their trend of introducing me to new foods this weekend too. Not only did I get to have some carrots, but I started eating butternut squash. Regardless of how it tastes, I do think its quite fun to eat. I promise I do manage to actually get some of it in meA massive warm front came in over the weekend, and the temperature soared into the high 70's. It was so nice out, that we all went to the park for several hours. After playing Tazz a bit, we walked down to the playground at 45th ave. While Tazz was on break, Mom and Dad took turns teaching me new things.
First, Dad taught me how to properly react when someone tries to take a posed picture. Mom thought it was really cute, but hopes that I don't do this every time
Then, Momma taught me how to sit in the baby swing. I decided that was worth a smile even though I knew the camera was on.

After all of that excitement, I decided it was time for a nice little nap. I got to spend some nice cuddle time in the big bed all by myself (don't worry...I was supervised). I can't wait until I'm old enough to sleep like this all of the time!
Talk to you all next week :-)

Surprises

This weekend was full of wonderful surprises. First, after an extended work trip, Momma showed up in the middle of the day on Thursday. I was so happyI even cut short my nap time so that I could say hi.
To make things even better, she brought Nanny with her for the weekend. Let me tell you, I had no lack of cuddle time this weekend :-)
Nanny was sure to care for Tazz too - here she is reading us both a story.

As if it weren't enough that everyone was here, Momma and Nanny took me to Babies R Us again, and brought me home a gift. The excitement was almost too much for me, but I managed to compose myself just enough to give my new Jumparoo a test run. Good stuff!
You would think that would be enough for one weekend - but not in this household. Next up, Momma and Daddy decided it was time for me to tast some new foods. They gave me something called Sweet Potato. I had to check it out first to make sure it looked ok

Luckily for them, it did pass inspection, and I've been happily eating it ever since. They tell me that tomorrow I get to try Carrots. I hope they are as yummy!
This weekend I also started working on sleeping flat in my crib at night - no more moses basket for this growing boy! I'm still getting used to all of the freedom it gives me, but I do find it pretty cool that I can turn my mobile on and off in the middle of the night. I'm not sure Daddy is as appreciative of that one though. No worries, I'll be back to sleeping through the full night soon enough.

Talk to you all next week :-)
