Dakota Week 49 - Sierra's First Real Hair Cut

This Saturday Momma and Daddy were able to organize things so that I could finally get my hair cut.  Mr. Anthony did a great job.  For the first time, I sat on the proper barber chair vs. Momma's lap or the motorcycle.  Momma was so proud of me.

Sierra had mentioned that she wanted to get her hair cut at Mr. Anthony's too.  So Momma asked - and he said yes.  So Sierra climbed up into the big chair after I was done for her first "real" haircut.
She did a great job at sitting still and she didn't even get upset.  Momma did get a little sad though when she realized that Sierra's ringlets were most likely gone forever now.

Dakota Week 48 - First Snow

This weekend we had our first snow of the season.  Momma is hoping it will help the plants to know that they still should be hibernating.  We of course took advantage of the opportunity to introduce Dakota to the snow!

Then it was time for some sledding.  Sierra and Dakota doubled up while I went solo.
Then it was time to warm up with some snuggles inside the house.

Nothing like snuggles to make a kid happy.
Then we decided a dance party was in order.  We can spin with the best of them.
Finally I had to show Momma some of the cool jump kicks I've been working one.  Who knew a 4 year old could fly so high!
One only had to see us as we really are to know that high flying wasn't much of a challenge for Superman...

 and Batgirl!
=+)

Dakota Week 47 - Happy Girls

Dakota Week 46 - Stacking and Comics

After all the excitement the last couple of weeks, thing were finally quiet.  We do have a bit of news to report.  Dakota has learned to master the art of the stacking ring.  I captured this picture of her at work.
And I have found the love of comic books, thanks to my morning cereal box.

Dakota Week 45 - Walking & Sierra is 2

Lots of fun stuff this week!  Sierra started us off with her birthday celebration, which was spread out across the entire day.  Presents, extra Momma time and just around fun.

Happy Birthday Little Sister!

Dakota also had a huge milestone this week.  She is up and walking.  Check out this video of my very impressive baby sister.
Sierra and I also learned about an important feature this week - the timer on Momma's camera.  We both had great fun pushing the button and running lickety-split across the room to jump in our spot for the family photo.  How do you think we did?
And Momma capture these just too cute pictures of us with her SFSPCA hat.  Momma tells me this is still an organization that is near and dear to her heart.  We have them to thank for Tazz.

And in case you are wondering Sierra is starting to warm to the potty training concept again.  So we are spending a lot of time in the bathroom on the weekends.  As you can see from the picture below - Dakota thinks the bathroom is full of fun!
So here is to my little sisters - I hope you have as much fun in your life as I do with them in mine!

Dakota - Week 44 - Dakota's First Christmas & Sierra's 2 Yr BDay Party

As you can expect there was a lot of crazy fun for Christmas this year.  Being Dakota's First Christmas, Momma was sure to photograph ALL of it!

First came the annual train decorating activity at Gigi and PopPop's house.  Sierra was a great help this year!

After decorating the train, Uncle Sean, Aunt Jo and Devon arrived making it time to open presents.  This was the first time that Dakota opened a present.  She picked up the "ripping" skill really quickly!
We even had stockings to open.

The highlight for me were musical.  Gigi and PopPop gave me my first drum set.  As soon as we made it home Momma set up a mini-rock band for us.  The concert was great!
And Daddy built the doll house that Gigi and PopPop had given Sierra for Christmas.  We are some very lucky little kids!

Momma played with a couple of the photos of me with the guitar that Uncle Sean and Aunt Jo gave to me.  Watch out world, I have my album cover already!

Then it was onto Christmas morning.  By far the family favorite was the Bat Cave, complete with a cast of supporting characters for everyone!
Tazz enjoyed Christmas morning too!  She is always a great one for opening presents quickly.
Sierra even helped Dakota with her presents.
Dakota was soon executing the opening process on her own.
By the end Momma had the satisfying mess that she has come to love!
And we had lots of new fun toys to play with.  Foosball anyone?
Even Tazz made out with a brand new bed to replace her old one.
And you might have thought that would be the end of our day.  Not so... then it was on to Grandma's house for more presents.  Dakota loved her treats.
Sierra made friends with her new doll.
By the end though, we were all TIRED.  They say a picture is worth one thousand words, and Dakota summed up our Christmas best!
If Christmas wasn't enough for the week a few days later it was time to celebrate Sierra's 2nd Birthday Party.  Winnie the Pooh was the theme for the party - Sierra's favorite bed time stories these days...
 Daddy helped with the candles.
But the cake was all Sierra's!
Then it was time for the presents!
Sierra dug in with a passion not seen in most two year olds I'm told!
The payoff was great - Daddy of course had the challenge of unboxing everything.  Luckily he is a smart Daddy.
Sierra asked me to thank everyone for helping her to celebrate her special day.  It is such a blessing to be able to have our family here for these milestone.
