Happy Spring everyone! The warm weather brought out the smiles in the Foy family.
In terms of new skills, Dakota once again took first prize. She decided that she should being using forks. She is getting really good at using them.Since she has joined the ranks of the chocolate cake eaters and is stable on her feet (mostly) Momma decided it would be okay if she joined us for a baking session. Sierra graduated to a step stool and Dakota took over the ottoman. She really enjoyed licking the beatters.
Sierra of course loved to eat hers.
I was promoted to the spatula. I am a lucky boy!
If you would believe it, Sierra took this picture. She is getting to be as skilled as I am with the camera.
Dakota taking up the fork wasn't her only accomplishment. She also graduated from the high chair to the booster seat. My littlest sister sure is growing up!
Sierra proved that its never too soon to learn how to fly. She is so fierce she will jump off anything if you let her!
I of course had to show her how to get "big air".
Dakota just smiled at our antics. She is still teething and getting new teeth every time we turn around. She has definitely joined the wet shirt club.
The thing Dakota was the happiest about this month was the acquisition and installation of her new front facing car seat. It was the last piece of baby-hood.
Now on to the main event - Easter Egg Hunts. Did we tell you how much we love our egg hunts. First we had to teach Dakota. So we practiced at home. After a few practice sessions, Dakota seemed to get the idea.
She could even find the eggs that Daddy hid.Sierra warmed up her skills too.
Daddy thought he could trick me by hiding a yellow egg with the daffodils, but I found it!
Dakota decided to take to the high ground to watch the hunt as it proceeded.
Sierra stopped to check in with her and share some Easter eggs.
Then Saturday came. This picture has nothing to do with Easter, but Momma just loved it and wanted to share...
Now onto the story - Saturday brought the Pennington Easter Egg Hunt at Kunkle Park. The hunts were divided up into three age groups. So Sierra and I were searching in separate areas.
In about 30 seconds or less the 4 and 5 year olds cleaned up their section of the park. I found my 5 eggs super quick.
Then Momma and I ran up to catch Sierra and her egg hunt. Momma thought the 2 and 3 year olds might take longer than the 4 and 5 year olds. She was wrong. Sierra found a whole basket full of eggs in her hunt.
Then Sunday came bringing Easter Morning. The Easter Bunny brought us Easter baskets filled with fun!
The Easter Bunny even brought a basket for Tazz. She loved opening it!
Then it was time for our PJ Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny did a great job hiding the eggs - but we did an even better one of finding them!
Even Dakota found an egg or two.
After our PJ Easter, it was time to head out to Aunt Janet's for our "proper" easter egg hunt and Easter dinner. Sierra was ready to find the eggs as soon as we arrived.
Dakota seemed to get a little confused and less interested in the hunts with each search.
I however had a great time finding the eggs that were hid.We made a killing...
Also this month, Sierra graduated to (mostly) a safe driver in the Gator. Momma is wondering how long it is before Sierra will need one of her own.
As you know we are a family of climbers. Sierra I have conquered the climbing wall.
But did you know that Dakota has conquered the ladder up to the 6 foot platform. Daddy didn't know until he found her half way up. Go little monkeys!
