Week 48

Thats right...its the end of week 48. You know what that means... just a few more short weeks until the big 1 year!
This past week, Daddy and I took a field trip to the Garden State Discovery Museum. We had a great time checking out all of the exhibits. I especially liked the ones where I was able to throw things on the floor! I also got a chance to try my hand at a little hockey. I'm waiting for the instant replay to determine if I scored or not.
We also had a good time playing at home down in the basement. I've been putting my new toys to really good use. These tunnels are a ton of fun to plow my way through.
I'm not the only one who likes them either. Tazz enjoys running through them every now and then too.
My final word this week is to give a little shout out to the Redskins for beating those evil Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. (Don't worry though... I'm still pulling for the Eagles to get their act together - especially this coming Sunday vs. the Skins!)

Visitors Galore

We had all sorts of guests this past weekend, and in preparation Momma and Daddy did a little cleaning. Daddy was trying to teach Tazz and I to put away our toys, but I think someone got a little carried away... what do you think? I did eventually get into the spirit of things though, and was sure to help keep things clean even while we had our visitors. Cleanings not so bad if you turn it into a game!
Speaking of games, I got a cool new giraffe ring stacker which is great fun to play with. I'm not sure I got the rings in the right place all the time, but no one seemed to mind too much.
Among our guests was actually someone close to my age. Lucas came over for a few hours with his parents to show off how cool it is to be a two year old. He was really good at kicking and throwing the ball around - I can only hope to be so good when I'm his age.

We also had some fun playing with a few of my toys in the basement. I think it made Momma and Daddy happy that I will probably still enjoy some of my current toys at least for awhile longer

Thats all for this week. Right now I'm off to rest up for my big day tomorrow - can you believe it? I'm going to be 11 months old! I'm getting closer and closer to that 1 year mark!

Wk 46.. An eventful few days

My, oh my, the past couple of days have been quite eventful.
On Sunday, we all enjoyed a nice day over in Lawrenceville. First we checked out the local farmers market, where Daddy picked up some pretty good corn on the cob for dinner. I enjoyed watching all of the people while Tazz's nose went into overdrive. After the farmer's market, we took a nice long walk in the park. I even got to go play in the stream! The water was quite refreshing since it was in the low 90's that dayAfter we got home, Daddy started cooking dinner while Mama and I went downstairs to play in the basement. I showed Mama the new use I found for my swing chair. All of those buttons are great fun to play with - I can make the swing move, and change the music and sounds that play all by myself!
With the weekend over, it was time for Monday to roll around; and nobody likes Monday's, right?
Well, I decided to show my dislike by scaring the living daylights out of daddy.
I had what the doctors call a "Breath Holding Episode". No, its not a new TV show... it meant I got a little unhappy and decided to hold my breath until my face turned blue and I passed out. When I woke up there were all sorts of emergency technicians in the house to help make sure I was ok. Just to be sure they took me on my first (and hopefully last) ambulance ride to the E.R. Once I calmed down, the doctors gave me the all clear and told momma and daddy that there was nothing to worry about. Apparently this is a trick some of us little buggers learn to do when we get upset. Momma and Daddy are hoping I never do it again...but I guess we'll have to see.
Obviously, daddy wasn't taking any pictures during this, but we did go by the fire house today to try for an ambulance pic - unfortunately, no luck - but lets all say thanks to these guys for helping out!
With that excitement out of the way, Tuesday was time for my appointment with the Allergist. I did really well during my skin tests, and came up negative for everything they tested for (several foods, and cats). I even showed no allergy to peaches, or some of the other foods we thought were a problem for me, so I may get to try them again some day. :-)
To close out my interaction with doctors for hopefully some time, we got the results of my blood test that was done the other week - everything looks perfect! I'm a model for good healthy babies

I hope everyone out there is doing well too - and I really don't recommend holding your breath as long as I did.. its really not fun for anyone.

Thats all for now. Talk to you all again next week.

Water Water Everywhere

Rain, Rain, Go away... I want to go outside and play! Yup, the past few days have brought a ton of rain to our little town here in Jersey. And while it did keep us inside a bit, we also managed to get outside and enjoy the weekend during the dry spells. For some reason, dad made mama change me when we came back inside from getting muddy in the front yardSunday was really nice outside, so we managed a trip to the dog park so Tazz could get some much needed exercise. Even though it was sunny, Tazz still managed to get soaked (and got all of us a little wet in the process)Once all was said and done, it was time for yet another dose of water. This week, I graduated from my baby bath tub into the real tub. I enjoy my bath time a ton more now! I hope you all managed to stay dry the past few days, or at least had as much fun getting wet as we did.
See you next week!

Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend was Labor Day weekend, and that meant Momma had a few extra days off to spend with us. On Friday we headed to the Boro Play Center so she could see where Daddy and I go to play every week.
I had a ton of fun showing off how good my balance has gotten while riding the roller coaster. Look Ma, No Hands! (I mean Daddy's hands of course)I also learned that we were going to be heading up to the Bordlemay's on Saturday for a day of volleyball and seeing friends. I got things started off a little early with a little drink on Friday night ;-) The Bordlemay's party was lots of fun. I got to go swimming, run around like a crazy person, play in the dirt, and of course watch a good game of volleyball. Don't worry, Momma and I let Daddy play a game or two as well.
Tazz even got to come with us for the day. She had a great time exploring and chasing her toy (plus watching a volleyball game or three herself). The only thing she wasn't real sure about was the cat. It definitely ruled the house
Thats all for now. Check back next week for more Connor and Tazz adventures
