Momma's Last Week at Home - Sierra Wk 16

We were all sad to realize that this week marked Momma's last week of maternity leave.  Tomorrow she heads back to work.  So that we didn't dwell it for too long Momma and Daddy made sure that Sierra and I had lots of fun this week.  The fun started with a trip to the "Popcorn Zoo".  We hadn't been there in quite a while, but I think the animals remembered me.  Or maybe it was the food I was carrying that they were so excited to see?
I think the bears were the most excited to see me.  They do a "sit" even better than Tazz.  They told me they were really proud of how strong my throwing arm has become.  I was able to get the peanuts into their enclosure without Daddy's help this time.
Thanks to nice weather, the Popcorn Zoo wasn't the only fun outside time that we had.  Momma and Daddy found ways for us to work our local park into our daily play sessions, even though we had to juggle Sierra's naps a bit.  I had a lot of fun on the slides and even managed to convince Daddy to play!
After sharing the slides with Daddy, I showed Sierra the finer points of swinging!
After all that fun, Momma grabbed a glamor shot of Sierra in her new jacket.  Aren't those blue eyes beautiful!
Speaking of Sierra, since Momma is headed back to work on Monday, Sierra made the transition to eating formula and drinking from the bottle on a full time basis.  The first few days were a bit rough, but I love that I can help feed her now.
Hard to believe but the fun continued through the weekend.  On Friday, GiGi and PopPop came to play.  GiGi and I played a bit of baseball while PopPop and Sierra snuggled.
Then on Saturday, Momma and I did our regular gymnastics class.  I'm getting really good at jumping on the big trampoline and swinging on the bars.  But I keep Momma's hands full playing while we are there, so there aren't any photos...

Sunday came, and I thought it would be out day of rest.  But Momma and Daddy had other plans.  Grandma, a.k.a DadMom showed up bright and early for our trip to the Camden Aquarium.  The highlight of this trip was the hippos.  We had never seen them move before.  But man were they active.  Momma managed to get a couple of cool pictures.  Hard to believe just a piece of glass separated us from these swimming hippos!
But Momma's favorite pictures were two she took of Sierra.  I like them too!
Needless to say, it has been a great fun week.  Momma asks that everyone sends good thoughts Daddy's way this week as he will be home with us full time on his own.  We've promised Momma that we will keep the little monster in us both under control for him!

Hello Sunshine - Sierra Wk 15

Its official, spring is here.  The flowers all over our neighborhood have bloomed and Daddy's allergies have kicked in.  Momma's picture taking has hit over drive as she is so impressed with all the vibrant colors.
But the flowers aren't the only colorful images that Momma is finding through her camera view finder.  Sierra's clothes have bloomed along with her smile!
I on the other hand am enjoying the warm air for another reason... Potty training really is much more fun without the cold, if you know what I mean.  Bath time too is much more enjoyable when you don't have to use the space heater to warm up the bathroom.
And if your hearts weren't warmed up by the nice weather, check out this picture.  My new favorite treat is holding Baby SiSi, a.k.a Sierra.
Momma and Daddy rewarded my brotherly love with a trip to Northlandz.  Now you might be asking what is Northlandz... I know I did.  Well it is just the most amazing mile long walk through the coolest electric train landscapes ever... Check out the pictures below to get a feel.
Needless to say I thought this place was the coolest... CHOO-CHOO!

Happy Birthday Mom! - Sierra Wk 14

This week Momma celebrated her birthday.  Sierra and I gave her the gift of a photo of the three of us together.  Dad did a great job taking the picture.
It has also been a week of new skill development for Sierra and I.  At the park, I taught Sierra the joys of swinging in the baby swings.  Momma and Daddy let me push her.  I even managed to keep Sierra in the swing!
I also continued to develop my climbing skills.  There is this crazy step like climbing apparatus at the park that I have been working to conquer.  I made it to the top this week.
Sierra has started working on her jumping skills this week.  Momma introduced her to the Jump-a-Roo.  For those of you who don't remember this was one of my favorite activities.  Since Sierra is growing so fast, Momma thought she could handle it already.  Can you believe that her toes touch the floor already?
Funnily enough, it seems by potty training skills are the things that have excited Momma and Daddy the most this week.  On Saturday of last week, I asked to wear my underwear.   Though it was a wet start, I managed to only go through 2 pairs today.  Not only that, but I managed my very first poop in the potty.  I must say it was "wow" and "nice".  Daddy thought Momma was going to take a picture of it, she was so excited.  But she thought a picture of poop was taking things a bit too far, so she restrained herself.  She did tell me that it crossed her mind though...

Well here is to another week in paradise.  Hope you all are enjoying the great pre-summer weather, Sierra and I sure are!

Its a Celebration! Easter & Sierra is 3 Months Old

Bang the drums and celebrate!  My little sister is now 3 months old.
Momma grabbed this picture of her while we were at Aunt Janet's celebrating Easter.  She was pretending to be an Easter Egg for the Annual Easter Egg hunt.
Speaking of Easter Egg hunts, I had my very own hunt this year.  I found all my eggs in under 10 minutes.  Much faster than the adults!
After collecting all the eggs, it was time to find out what was making them rattle.  Aunt Janet helped me to crack the eggs!
I had quite a good haul.  I'll be putting that money towards my sticker fund.  Momma says I go through a lot of them in my art work.  After my egg hunt it was time for a little exercise.  Aunt Janet brought out the lacrosse sticks and provided me a refresher course on how to use them.  I did pretty well, working on my scoop and ability to catch the ball!
I think lacrosse is a pretty cool sport.  Think I could be the poster boy for it?
After playing for a while it was time for the adults to do their Easter Egg Hunt.  Aunt Janet thought I might sit this one out, but I'm always up for an egg Hunt.  So I teamed up with Daddy to take on the other adults.  Daddy did a great block move, earning us two eggs that Aunt Janet would have otherwise found...
But no hard feelings, I even helped Aunt Janet to find an egg of her own!
Now, you might be wondering what Sierra was up to during all this excitement.  It seems she found a cozy place to enjoy her milk coma.  There is something about that pillow that always gets her.  It must have the same magic as Daddy's blue couch!  Thank goodness Nanny was happy to sit out the egg hunt and hold her.
I hope you all had as great an Easter as I did.  See you on the hunt next year!
A special thanks to Aunt Janet and Mary Ann for hosting!

Cute and Cuddly Baby!

All the wonderful sun really warmed the house up a lot today.  So Momma managed to get a few cute naked baby pictures of Sierra that I thought I would share with you.  Hard to believe that she will be 3 months old soon.

Sun, Sun, Sun! - Sierra Wk 13

After another bout of rain, the sun decided to come out and play again.  We celebrated with a trip to the park.  Momma and I headed down with Tazz, while Daddy and Sierra stayed home.  First I impressed Momma with my great strength!
Then I worked on my throwing skills.  One of the big kids at the park showed me how to throw acorns onto the roof of the pavilion.  I'm still working on my skills...
With my arm warmed up, we headed to the river for some stone throwing.  I like my rocks big!
But I've found I can make the biggest splash all on my own.
Not to be out done, Tazz showed me how to jump really big!  I'll see what I can do to improve my splashing skills based on her coaching the next time we come to the brook.
After all this fun play, I found a flower to bring back to Daddy and Sierra.  I took a big sniff of it...
Now its your turn!
