Goodbyes and Goodtimes

This weekend was the start of our goodbyes to all of our friends here in San Francisco. Its definitely sad to say bye, but we still managed to have some good times.
We started off by doing dinner with Julie, Tyler, and the ever beautiful Natalie. After dinner, we went back to their place for a little play time. Natalie took the opportunity to get a little fresh with me - we couldn't show you where her hand was without adding a PG-13 rating to the blog. I was a bit surprised, but truthfully, didn't mind at all.. During the visit, I also tried out some of the cool toys Natalie has. I see a new purchase in mom and dad's near future... (and, do you notice... no hands from dad!) In addition to seeing all of our friends, Mom and Dad are being sure to show me some of their favorite places in the city to make sure I remember them. On Saturday we hit Haight Street for awhile. I must say it was quite the fascinating place to do some people watching. I also talked Momma into buying me my first drum to represent the Golden Gate Park drum circles she used to listen to from her apartment. Can you believe it? A parent buying their OWN kid a drum? Show's you how much I have them wrapped around my fingers! ;-)
We of course finished off the day on Saturday with another swim lesson. Dad was actually brave enough to go hands free for short periods of time when I was floating in my inner tube.
I'd also like to thank everyone that came over on Saturday night to wish us farewell (and take mom and dads money in poker). Even though I was asleep for most of the time, it meant alot that you could make it.
Hopefully we'll see the rest of our friends before we head East this coming weekend.

Also, please note that my next posting will probably be on Sunday evening as Momma and I head out Sunday morning, and then dad has the movers coming on Monday.

Talk to you all soon

A Big Connor Week! (Wk 34)

This past week was a really big one for me! Once I realized that I was going to be moving all the way across the country soon, I decided I had to make sure I was prepared for it.

On Sunday night after we dropped Mama off at the airport, I started impressing dad by doing my 'Army Crawl' for a few feet at a time. By the time Mama came home on Thursday I was zipping all over the place - I even made it all the way from my room into theirs. Need to make sure I can properly explore the new pad! One of my favorite places to crawl, is over to Dad's stereo system. I taught myself how to work the volume button - that thing can get loud!

I've also started to work on standing up. The jumperoo has given me some strong little legs, but I'm still working on my balance a bit. It helps to have something to hold on to - and of course an ever viligent Mama to catch me if I stumble...In addition to all of my great physical feats, Mama and Dada have continued to try and work on building my food reportoire. We moved on from chicken to some pureed Turkey... At first I was extremely excited to try a new meat...But then, I actually tried it and I wasn't very impressed. I gave Mama and Dada a stern talking to about that oneI'm pretty sure they got the message, as today when I had the turkey, it was mixed with some sweet potatos. Much better.

I also had another swim lesson this week. I'm really getting to like this water stuff. Here I am taking a brief respite from my work to pose for my adoring fans

Well, thats all for now. The countdowns have begun. Dads last day of work is this Friday, and the start of our move should just be about two weeks away. Do you think I'll be walking by then? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Bye for now :-)

Is something burning?

If any of you smelled something burning last night, don't worry... I think it was just the phone lines smoking as news of our upcoming move spread throughout the East Coast.

Thats right.... we're moving to Eagles Country in a few weeks!Whats that you say? Princeton New Jersey is either Jets' or Giants' territory? Not according to my papa! Go Birds :-) We even celebrated the news by going to Jake's Steaks for some cheesesteaks, and since I just started eating chicken, mama let me have a few bites of hers. I don't think they bargained for me to get into the ketchup (and attempt to pick up a french fry) - but how could I resist?
After we finished up with our food, we headed out to the park for some play time. I had a really good time playing on the swings again.
This weekend also marked my second swim lesson. This time we started learning how to hold our breath under water. Papa helped me out by blowing in my face just before I went under - that reminded me to take a deep breath
And of course, I've spent lots of time continuing to bond with big Sis, Tazz. She's getting pretty good at sharing her toys with me. Though I think that maybe she wants me to throw it for her.. what do you think?

Well... thats all for this week. Be sure to check back next week, and hopefully we'll have a better idea of exactly when the move will happen, and where we'll be living!

Week 32

Before I jump into this week, Momma wanted me to tell you to go back and re-read the Memorial Day posting from a couple of weeks ago. I was able to sneak a top secret photo into the mix...
Now onto today's post.....
This weekend was a rockin' good time! We started out with some time in the park on Friday. After I enjoyed my time in the grass, I got to work on hitting the slide again. It went much better this time, now that I knew what I was in for.
I also spent some time in the sandbox where I tested Momma's skills at preventing me from eating things that I shouldn't. The sand really didn't taste that good anyway, so I won't be doing that again. Okay... maybe I will...
Then on Saturday, I was in for a real treat! I had my first swim lesson. We went to "La Petit Baleen" in the Presidio, and I was the youngest one in the class. After an initial shock of being in the water and not being scrubbed clean, I started to enjoy it a bit more. I think next weeks lesson will go even better!
Well, thats all for this weeks post. I've been pushing the limits of my bedtime out to 8 or 8:30 this week, so dad has his hands full and a little less time to post. We'll get him trained to handle it all soon enough though :-)

Talk to you all next week

Back in San Fran

Before I start in on this weeks adventures, I wanted to make sure you all check out the Memorial Day post I did yesterday too - it should be right below this one.
After getting settled back into the Pacific time zone, we quickly got back into our normal swing of things.
Tazz and I spent some quality time kicking back and relaxing... and of course, getting in some of the mandatory play sessions...I also learned that she can be a great help in cleaning up my mess after eating. Do you think this counts as feeding her from the table? And why didn't I know this trick when mom and dad were trying to make me eat that yucky avocado stuff?? I was also sure to get some fun time back in my jumper. You may not believe it by my expression here, but I've been having a great time in it. This was just a brief rest while I decided if I wanted to keep jumping or switch to something else (I went back to jumping like a madman if you're wondering)To close things out for the week, I introduced myself to dad's stereo system this evening. I got really good at turning it off and on repeatedly... though dad tried to tell me that my hands would work better then my forehead. Silly daddy.
We also had some grand adventures at the playground this weekend, where I got to go on the swings again, and had my first introduction to the slide! I loved that after I figured it out. Unfortunately the camera battery was dead, but hopefully we'll get some action pix next time.
Talk to you all next week!

Memorial Day!!

Wow! I think Memorial Day may just be my favorite holiday of all. It was a huge weekend for me, so please forgive how long it took me to post my adventures. I had to spend some time sorting through all of the photos and adjusting back to the Pacific time zone.
We started the weekend off with a trip to the CIA for Grampy's retirement ceremony. I'd show you some photos, but they told me it was top secret... Don't worry I've got some of my connections working on getting me one to show you all later though.

Aha! My people came through... check out this shot of me inside the CIA:
After that, momma took me to meet my REALLY big brother, Dusty. Man, I thought I had some growing to do to catch up with Tazz, but this puts a whole new spin on things. Dusty was really nice, and even let me ride him for a bitAfter spending some time with Dusty, it was off to camp. I couldn't wait to see what all the hype was about. Dad had been talking about it forever. I must say it was all I could ask for - and more! I got to work on my volleyball skills a little more, ...Hang out by the campfire for a bit....and best of all, I got to see all sorts of family - and thats what its really all about, right? Here are a few of my favorite photos. I think they mostly speak for themselves - sorry if we missed a shot of you and I together, but there is always next year

(Psssttt...Did you hear? I'm going to have a cousin in a few months - I couldn't be happier for Uncle Sean and Aunt Jo!)After seeing so many people, I was ready for a nap. Thankfully Jager and Soleil volunteered to keep watch while I caught a few z's.
When I think back on all of the fun, I can't help but smile. I can't wait to do it all again next year!!

Check back tomorrow for my usual timely post about this past weekend. Thanks to all who made my first Memorial Day a great one!
